Product Description I understand. For most of the world, it's a common little phrase. But for people who have fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome (or both), it's amazingly powerful, not to mention rare. Because you have an illness that's hard to "prove," loved ones may secretly accuse you of hypochondria or laziness. You may be told "it's all in your head." Phusicians can be even worse. If they believe that conditions exist at all - and some don't - their first impulse is to mask the symptoms with prescription drugs. Patients often end up on a medical merry-go-round, seeing doctor after doctor after doctor. They end up more confused and disoriented than ever, often concluding, "Maybe I am crazy, after all."

Very informative book. May 10, 2009 Chellebelly (CA) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I've not finished reading this book yet, however I have found it to be very useful already. I've been living with Fibromyalgia for about 14 years now, and have tried all kinds of treatments, mostly those involving pharmaceutical drugs. I've been looking for information on treating my condition(s) holistically/naturally for some time, and came across this book at my local library. I found it to be so informative that I immediately purchased it on Amazon. Even if you're content with your current treatment, it's still chalked full of great information about Fibromyalgia & CFIDS.
8 Years Later and Still Free from Fibromyalgia October 8, 2009 O. Funkhouser 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Dr Murphree and his team treated my wife's fibromyalgia 8 years ago in Birmingham, Alabama. The same techniques that he developed those many years ago are still present in this book. My wife has been free from fibromyalgia by following his dietary and vitamin regime. Yes, the book pushes the vitamins he has developed. But I have also conducted my own independent research of his vitamins with other known brands (Shacklee, Centrum, GNC, and Amway). Dr Murphree has put forth the effort to develop vitamins that will be absorbed and utilized correctly by your body (not sit in your stomach and pass through like a rock). If you are tired of living with fibromyalgia, then pick up a copy of this book, "read" it, and "live" it.
Incrediblly helpful, this doc "gets the disease and can treat it" like few others do! October 18, 2009 Ann (Pennsylvania) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
The cover of the new book is a bit strange to me, however, I have the 2006 version of this book and and am ordering the updated version for the content. I have had Fibro and CFS for 10 years. I am an RN. I have gone every direction possible to figure out how to cure these conditions......not just treat symptoms. I have spent well over $10,000 out of pocket on Fibro docs, chiropractors, massage, Rolfing, Iridology, Nutritionalist, diets, forms of exercise, meds and on an on. Doctor Murphee really understands the disease and it's triggers and he has concrete solutions. After reading book (which I reread often...so full of valuable content),I then consulted by phone. It has made a huge difference. Thank you, Dr Murphee! It's the closest thing to the Bible on the topic.
Amazon, note that you misspelled the word Chronic in the title listing.

This book is excellent for anyone with these conditions. We have it at the library where I work and my sister (who has Fibromyalgia) had me buy it for her. She said it's an excellent reference book for anyone with this disease!
very detailed March 22, 2010 Steven Looks at the underlying reasons for this syndrome. Found book to be one that i pick up to read again and again. I would recommend it.
